Barbara Mohr Heiden (1951) received a series of e-mail correspondence and a photograph from Perry M. Walsh, the only surviving family member of Patricia L. Bussell (1951) and Jack M. Walsh (1950).  His mother ‘Pat’ died in 1968 when Perry was only 10 years old.  His father Jack died a few years later.  To compound the injury, his older brother Dean died in 1977 at the age of 22.  He wishes to preserve the memory of his parents and wants his two children (ages 18 and 14) to know as much as possible about their deceased grandparents whom they never met.  He is making every effort to contact Pat’s and Jack’s ATHS classmates who might share some recollection of his parents.

Barbara Heiden was in some ATHS business classes with Pat Bussell and remembers the very sweet and quiet strawberry blond fondly.  I thought that the ATHS Alumni website would be an appropriate venue for soliciting other responses from his parent’s classmates.  Perry sent a photograph taken by CBS when Jack Walsh married his Tech High School sweetheart Patricia Bussell on the ‘live’ TV show Bride and Groom.  It isn’t everyone that gets married in front of millions of viewers on national TV.
