William T. (Bill) Robertson, III "I attended Purdue for two years and then married MaDonna Horton, (Class of ' 60.), and we divorced in ' 66. I entered the Air Force, did 2 tours in Viet Nam, and was discharged as a Sergeant. After my discharge, I married a girl that I met while I was stationed in San Antonio, and we have two daughters. I later returned to school, receiving my BA in ' 78, and Masters in ' 79, and have retired from the Houston Independent School District, due to health concerns. I am currently working as a Special Education Consultant for Charter Schools, in the Houston area."

Aloha from Honolulu:
Kicked out of my first grade class by my teacher, and severely punished
by the school principal because I couldn't read, as one of the dyslexic
illiterates the Indianapolis Public School System went on to produced, I
eagerly left Indiana in 1961 in search of my fortune. My short career with
the United States Air Force took me to Hawai'i
where I played my part in the communications network
throughout the many islands of the South Pacific and in Asia while being
present during the nuclear and rocket testing at Johnston Island at the
beginning of the Vietnam War era. After leaving the Air Force in 1965 I had
the privilege of traveling the world and getting to meet and know many of
its people, their wonderful cultures and customs. I was successful in my
chosen career field, and upon retiring began my writing career following my
recovery from death on September 12, 1996.
Living in Hawai'i was a choice I made many years ago, and while life has produced several very interesting twists and turns, none of them can compare to being a former illiterate high school graduate who now finds himself involved in a fabulous writing career. I hope every graduate of Tech enjoys the rich and rewarding life experiences as have I. If

Becky (Laing) Meredith I lived in the Brightwood area until 11 years old, attending school 51. We lived on the corner where the trolley turned! We moved to the other side of the park and I attended schools 54 and 81 before heading to Tech in '63. After graduating from Tech, worked several jobs in the Indianapolis area then moved to Dallas in '72 for 4 years, my youngest son is a Texan and proud of it! I moved back to Indy, then in '79 ran into an old classmate from '66 (John Kuhn) and married him and moved to Wisconsin, then back to Northern Indiana. We built a house in Peru. But, due to incompatibility difficulties, I moved back to Indy and left him in Northern Indiana! I have been in this area since that time. I went to Beauty School in the late '70's and owned my own salon in Castleton for 14 years before deciding the rat race was too much. I was working way to many hours. I discovered Mary Kay Cosmetics and found I didn't have to work so hard! I am now a hairstylist out of my home about 2 days a week, work about 15 more hours as a Beauty Consultant and have the rest of the time to devote to my loving Husband, family and dear Mother! I now live in the Noblesville area and have 2 sons, a step son and 2 stepdaughters and 5 lovely Grandchildren to spoil! I love being "MiMi" and having the freedom to go and do things whenever they need me or want to see me! I am into Gardening and attending the Colt's games! My husband, Rick, could watch sports 24/7 and sometimes has two-three tv's going at the same time watching different events! I am on the Reunion Committee for our Class and hope to hear from anyone from the Tech Site. My Sisters, Patty and Judy also attended Tech and my younger brother Ernie Shearer went to Tech and graduated in the Navy. I also have two younger brothers that went to Warren. Becky Meredith

Liederbach "I attended IPS Whittier School # 33 for my grade school years, entering first grade in the "spring" semester of 1951. I enrolled at Tech Junior High in the spring semester of 1958. How big the campus was-I got lost many times, but by the end of that semester I knew my way around pretty well. My High School years officially began with the spring semester of 1959. My majors were English, French and History. I was active in French Club, Y-Teens and Future Teachers of America. Football games and basketball games were part of my life also. I liked Chorus classes, but did not have any desire to be in Techoir. I was in the Elizabeth Kaltz Singers for two years, I did enjoy that very much. After High School, I worked for a year at the Star News. I was a telephone "girl" in the circulation department, taking mostly complaints from people who did not get their newspapers. I enrolled at I. U. extension in downtown Indianapolis in the fall of 64 and transferred to Bloomington in 1966. I completed my degree in sociology in June of 1969, with minors in Social Work, History and Library Science. I began work as a Childrens Librarian later that month the Indianapolis Marion County Library. Since then, I have worked in branches, on the bookmobile and at the Central Library, my current assignment. I have enjoyed a rich career. One of the things about working for a large library system is that although I have been a librarian for 32 years, I have done the exact same job all that time. Branches are individual entities, really. My favorite branch assignments were all on the east-side-Spades Park, and Hilton U. Brown, soon to be re-named Irvington. I love working with children and have told many stories, done many puppet shows, and early in my career, was one of the "library ladies" on the old Kindergarten college TV show. My job changes all the time as trends in publishing come and go. What is new today is old tomorrow. That makes it exciting. But it is the kids who are the same that keeps me going. As far as kids of my own, I have six wonderful nieces and nephews and six terrific grand nieces and nephews. My brother Bill and sisters Susan and Debbie also attended Tech in the 60s. Bill was in the class of 65, Susan 66 and Debbie in 69. They are all living in the Indianapolis area. Bill works for the Star News, Susan is a secretary, and Debbie is an IPS teacher. Besides reading, I dabble in crocheting and machine quilting. I also like to explore old cemeteries [especially Crown Hill in Indy] and "antiquing." I still live on the east side of Indy-not far from the Spades Park neighborhood where I grew up. Who would have thought in 1960 that at age 56 I would be having more fun than ever. But life, even with the "fun" over fifty kind of things, is good."
