Thanks to Ron Jackson for sharing these photos and notes,
and Sharon Bergdoll Kelly for sending them to Ron!

I do remember the picnic in 1956 (senior year) that our sub-deb club, the Crowns,  had at Yellowwood. Don't ask me where Yellowwood is at because I do not remember and anyway it is probably a shopping mall now.

The first picture below of the two girls and two guys is myself in the Tech sweatshirt and Jim Cast is other guy. On top of my shoulders is Jane O'Rear and on top of Jim Cast is Sharon. Sharon is my friend that I correspond with via e-mail.  Jim is my friend who recently retired after many year at NASA and Jane was the girl next door (actually next door to Ralph Morris.)  We spent many evenings on Jane's front porch BS'ing about everything from lousy school lunches to how we couldn't wait to get out of school and take on the world.

You might notice what a skinny butt I was. It kind of explains why when I went out for football our 300 lb. line knocked the helmet off my head at least 15 times. I did not make the team.

The next picture is Jerry Piety holding me on his shoulders. That must have been when I decided if I was going to be that high I wanted a Cessna 172 underneath me. The fellow to the left is Bob Scott who has passed away. He was a prince of a guy.

The next picture shows myself and a girl swapping gum on New Year's  Eve 1955 at Sharon's house. Sharon told me who the girl in the picture is but we will leave her unnamed to spare her any embarrassment.

The last picture is Max Wilson holding up Sharon Rice at the aforementioned picnic and myself watching in total amazement.  Max is a church missionary and has been to Russia several times and I believe is there currently as a missionary for his church.
